The Illinois News Broadcasters Association elected Jenna Dooley as its new president. Dooley is news director at Northern Public Radio, the NPR affiliate at Northern Illinois University. She is a graduate of NIU and the UIS Public Affairs Reporting Program. She hosted Morning Edition in Springfield before joining Northern Public Radio. She loves cats but also her child and husband too.
According to a post from INBA, Dooley intends to personally reach out to each of the current 145 members. She also plans to establish a network of mentors for one-on-one support of professionals early in their career.
She succeeds Josh Morgan as president of the organization.
