She wasn’t out of work for long. Mary Dixon, who was let go at WXRT in December will be moving to Chicago NPR affiliate WBEZ as the local Morning Edition host. The NPR station had been searching for a new host, as long time morning person Lisa Labuz is moving to a mid-day shift. WXRT cut its news programming last month and re-organized staff.
