Posted May 5, 2021 by Bill Wheelhouse

When writing, I tried & often didn’t work hard enough to keep sentences short. Hemingway did it well. So does Jeff Butera, author of Write Like You Talk. He spoke at the recent virtual Illinois News Broadcaster’s Virtual Convention.

It is effective.
It make’s it easier for listeners or viewers to understand.

Work harder at keeping your sentences short. If you edit others help them figure out ways to do it.
