Don’t Shoot Your Credibility Down-Tips For Journalists From A Gun Rights Site

There are nearly a dozen tips here. Many I’ve seen from Poynter and others.  This comes from a web site, The Truth About Guns.      Perhaps presented from a slightly different angle, but always worth thought and consideration as we try to do a good job on a divisive issue.      One point that is always worth emphasizing… Get it right when reporting on the types of guns used.   It may not make a difference to a non-gun owner, but when you report the basic gun info wrong…  you have shot your credibility with gun owners, regardless of where they stand on the issue.
