This training will help you avoid mistakes that could undermine the work you do. It comes from an organization called First Draft. Its materials allow you to learn how to verify eyewitness media, fabricated websites, videos and memes. There is a short one hour course or a more extended five-part course. The site says its material can also be excerpted for classrooms and courses.
